You just know when it’s time. It’s not something that is meant to be easy. It’s not something you can explain. It’s not something most would understand. It’s not something you can predict. It’s just something you know.
You arrive at the decision because of all the steps you took to get there. You think about all the sacrifices you’ve made. You think about the countless hours of work. You relive the memories from the relationships you have formed, that will last forever. You appreciate the difficult times because without them the opportunities you now have wouldn’t mean as much. You just know when it’s time.
You wonder if you’re making the right move. You question whether you can duplicate success in new circumstances. You ask yourself if you will be able to form meaningful relationships like the ones you already have. You doubt that things can be any better than they are now. But…you just know when it’s time.
You’ve considered it before, but this time is different. All the stars align. All the boxes get checked. All the “i’s” are dotted and the “t’s” are crossed. You just know when it’s time.
You just know when it’s time to take on the next challenge. With that said, I HAVE ACCEPTED A NEW COACHING POSITION.
I would like to thank my wife and kids for the support throughout this decision-making process. I’d especially like to thank my players, who have helped me get to this point of my career, and life. I would like to thank all the coaches that I have played for and worked with. You have all made me a better coach but more importantly a better man.
I am proud to announce that I am the new assistant coach for the Northridge Little League AA Brewers, where I will get to coach my son for the first time. Go Brew Crew!!!…
…and Go Matadors!!!
